Jan Whitehouse, Deputy Store Manager, Morplan Birmingham, worked with Every Occasion to help them completely refurbish their shop:
"I first met Danielle from Every Occasion when she visited our Birmingham Showroom for inspiration. We agreed a date for me to visit the store to measure the premises and discuss options. The project was a huge commitment with walls being knocked through and floors being added to maximise the retail potential. Danielle is a pleasure to work with. She is receptive to new ideas and has a keen eye for detail. Her new and improved salesfloor is bright, engaging and well presented. Seeing the store develop from bare bricks and mortar to what it is today is the part I like most about my job."

How did you come to work with Morplan?
My boss, Gerald, had worked with Morplan through his business, after receiving Morplan monthly catalogue, and recommended you to me based on the positive experience he’d had with you.
What problem or issue were you looking to solve?
We had an existing retail space that was quite small, so a part of this project was extending the store into our large stockroom space that we didn’t really need. The store needed a complete refresh, to make better use of the space and expand the product range we could offer.
How did we help you achieve this?
I couldn’t have done this project without Jan, she was very knowledgeable about visual merchandising and creative ways to display stock. Jan visited our store,
advised on what shop-fittings and display furniture would suit our products and how to lay it out. She created a floor plan for us and guided us through the whole process. I’ve worked in retail a long time, but I’ve never done anything like this, so her help was invaluable.
Is there something about working with us that stood out to you?
I was complete novice coming into this project and it was the personal approach that made all the difference. Jan gave us a lot of expertise and support, but she didn’t act like a salesperson trying to upsell us the whole time, it felt very much like she had what we wanted to achieve with the store at the centre of her suggestions. Even now, Jan is the only person I want to speak to when I call up because she knows our business so well.
